“If you’ve ever loved any of Rare’s Banjoo Kazooie games, Playtonic’s debut title might feel like putting on a pair of cozy slippers near a warm fire. “Ooh lovely”, you might think, “let’s get the marshmallows out”, but the affection for the games from an almost forgotten 3D platforming genre is a little too intense, and when all’s said and done, this is a stark lesson that some things are better left in the past, especially gating progression based on how many collectibles you have. Oh, and dodgy cameras.”
